MIDNIGHT MADNESS (MMSC 69)

Happy Midnight Madness day! Are you all ready for another sketch? I sure hope so as this was a fun one to do! I don't know where Priscilla gets her motivation from to come up with different sketches each week, but I know I'm impressed! If I was the one making them I think there would be many repeats!!! LOL
Our new DT's are settling in wonderfully as I'm sure you will see with their creations this week, but that should not be a surprise as they are all fabulously talented!
Congratulations to all our winners this week, and boy did we have some more lovely cards to view....we feel totally spoilt with all your creations, they are such a joy to view!
Our Masterpiece Award goes to
Our Remarkables Awards go to
Our Sponsor this week is Prairie Fairy
Our monthly sponsor is Sunshine and Giggles
For my card this week I used this adorable ballerina mouse from Prairy fairy and had so much fun making her look pretty in pink! I colored the image in copics and added some stickles to her dress and ballet slippers then cut out the dress and popped it up on dots for a little extra dimension.
I added lace all around the circle on the front of the card, added more stickles, stitching, embossing and blue gems.
On the inside I stitched the edges and added another circle to write a sentiment. The photo makes it look like the dp is two different colors of pink but they are from the same sheet and the same color...must be my new light! LOL
Please take a look at my DT sister's blogs and their creations as they always blow me away with what their imaginations come up with!
Thanks for stopping by and for all your sweet comments

Charlotte

MIDNIGHT MADNESS (MMSC68)

Happy Tuesday Folks,
How was your weekend? Did you get to do anything really fun and exciting or were you like most parents who were getting their children ready to start the new school year? We were able to get out on the water on Saturday but had to cut the trip short due to a storm that came through, and after getting the anchor rope twisted around the propeller we figured it was time to go home!!! The good thing is that DH got his first experience navigating through the water in the dark!!
This week over at the Midnight Madness team we have 3 lovely additions to our group, our newest guest DT's. So without further ado I will introduce them to you....Please see the Midnight Madness blog to read their complete Bio's!
Connie M.
I was born and raised in hot and sunny southern Arizona, where I still currently reside. In June, 1994, I married my high school sweetheart and best friend, and we have two wonderful children together. Paper crafting has been a passion of mine for many years. I have been stamping on and off since shortly after I got married in 1994. However, in 2004, one of my dear friends got me majorly hooked on stamping again. A few years later, I was introduced to SplitCoastStampers (SCS) where you may know me as cmc2stamp. I have learned so much from the other wonderfully talented stampers on SCS, and my own stamping style has grown by leaps an bounds over the last few years!
Holly Moore
Darn, this is so exciting! Thank you Priscilla for the honor of being a Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge Guest Designer. I'm sure this will be a wonderful AND FUN journey; you and the gals have already made me feel so welcome. That and the inspiration keep me coming back for more. Plus, I am a born encourager, so I'm thrilled to get in there and give lots of Kudos to y'all too!Anyway, "Hi!" I'm a Holly who was born in the summer (not Christmas) in Wyoming. (Probably why I say "Darn!") Yes, I love cowboys and camping and cross country skiing. Something about the Arizona desert where I have lived for a long time gets my heart right there too. Eleven years ago I married my hero and we moved from sunny AZ to Washington State. I was home alone a lot, and as bored work-widow I started scrapbooking. And I couldn't stop.
Marsha Sanderlin
I live in Camden, NC (close to the Outer Banks). I am blessed with a wonderful husband, four children and oodles of grandchildren.I have always had a passion for art. I remember drawing pictures for my grandmother when I was just a toddler. I took a few classes over the years but did not get serious again until I started scrapbooking with a group at my church. This led to stamping and I found my niche! I started sending cards to my "secret pal" in my ladies Bible study group and the next thing I knew, I'd volunteered to start a card ministry in our church! I retired a little over three years ago and my craft room has been growing ever since! I love all kinds of techniques and stamp styles, but found my true passion when I was introduced to “vintage” art. I am just so honored to have been selected as a guest designer and hope I can also be an inspiration to others.
Congratulations to our winners this week

For my card this week I chose one of my Magnolia stamps to use. I don't have many but I just love them! I've had this one colored for a while but did not get around to using it until now. I love how the card turned out with the lace and ribbon and although brown is not one of my favorite colors, I do like how it made the cream dp stand out.
I colored sweet Tilda in prismacolored pencils and copics, and added some stickles for a little shine.
I layered the lace and threaded the ribbon through it
The inside I used some really pretty wallpaper pieces that were a RAK from priscilla a while ago. They are so pretty that I didn't want to cover them up with anything, so left them blank.
This label is from the front of the card
I hope you like my sweet creation this week. Please remember to stop by my DT sisters to check out their cards and show them some love. Thank you for stopping by and your most welcomed comments.

DOODLE DRAGON CHALLENGE #17

It's Sunday again!
Each weekend I think "oh I have one more week before a new challenge is due", but it's here yet again and I just got it in on time! Phew! This weeks challenge over at Doodle Dragon Studio is to create something with no designer paper, so I looked around my house and decided to do a little reusing/recycling of things laying around! This little notebook I had from Michael's dollar bin....or now $1.50 bin!!! and I decided to keep it simple with some dry embossing on the cover, a little left over ribbon from my stash and a velcro closure on the side with a metal button with the word 'discover'.
The circle flower cutouts were embellished with some clear dots to give a little dimension and I used the recycled sign and handles from a paper bag from the Whole Foods Market! The image of course is Dustin Pike.
I also reused a ribbon spool and made a little container for my son to put his erasers in, so now he has his notebook and container to use for school.
I cut the end off the spool and made it into a lid, then used my nesties die to made the top and bottom a little larger, added this adorable little dragon to the top and dry embossed the whole image. The spool was covered in some paper remnants and paper ribbon, and the images were all colored with copics. So there you have it, a recycled project and no designer paper on the notebook!
I hope you will join us this week for this fun challenge and don't forget to visit my other DT sisters to see their fabulous creations.
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Hugs,
Charlotte

MIDNIGHT MADNESS (MMSC66)

It's Tuesday folks and time for another Midnight Madness!
I seem to be only posting on a Tuesday lately, doing too much other stuff in and around the house to get much crafting done! Anyways, first things first, today we have to say cheerio to two of our guest DT ladies well it's actually more of a "see you later" as they won't be far away..or at least that's what they tell us! We have had so much fun with these two and the emails have just kept us in stitches time and time again. So to Pam and Brenda, Thank You both for blessing us these last few months with your gorgeous creations and your friendship! We will miss you on the team!

Tracy is offering one lucky winner a $25 Gift Certificate to her store.
Our Monthly sponsor is the very talented Michelle Perkett

My card this week is using an image from Sugar Creek Hollow. Isn't it just the prettiest pumpkin! I used some of the images from the Halloween selection including the flourish and pumpkin on my card then the owl and tree images on the little gift tags.
I found a great fall dp selection from DCWV for half price at Michael's, it has so many pretty fall colors and patterns that I will get to use it a lot for the upcoming seasons cards.
I colored the pumpkin in prismacolor pencils and chalks then added some stickles for a little shine. I then popped it up on foam squares for a little dimension. The sheer ribbon was layered several times then tied together under the flower.
This photo shows the two tags I made using the other images.
Very simple little tags that were cut with a spellbinders circle die and layered. A little ribbon and some gems and voila...they are done! Quick and simple gift tags.
I hope you take the time to check out my DT sisters creations and to play along with us again this week.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!
Hugs,
Charlotte

They have lots of hard to find scrapbook goodies to feed your paper crafting desires and continue to add our products to the website weekly, so there is lots more to come. Best of all, because they are such a small business... when the "big guy" or "gal" sells out, chances are they still have it in stock. You have to go take a look at their site, because they have such cute stuff!!
Our Monthly sponsor is the talented Michelle Perkett Studios

My card this week was made with this sweet image from Michelle Perkett called Olive. I colored her in copics and added some stickles to her bathing suit and hat for a little sparkle!
I wanted to do something different with this card so I made the top image removable so the sentiment is underneath instead of inside the card.
Here's a closeup of some of the details, don't you just love that little shell! I've had them for a while but don't remember where I got them!
I hope you will stop by all my lovely DT sisters blogs to check out their beautiful creations and check us out on Facebook too!
Have a terrific day!

DOODLE DRAGON STUDIO CHALLENGE #16

Happy Sunday everyone!
Are you all enjoying your weekend, doing something fun or getting some well deserved rest? I've just returned from a trip to IKEA...and I think half of Miami was there too!!! LOL My goodness, I've never been there before and figured as it was a rainy day let's go take a look. I think everyone else had the same idea. Needless to say I won't be going back there on a Sunday again anytime soon!
Are you ready for todays challenge over at Doodle Dragon Studios? Today the challenge is a recipe: Buttons, decorative edging and stitching! I decided to put this cute image of Dustin's to good use and made my son a little door hanger...he loves those things and now he has a choice of what to put up on his door handle.
Both the background and dragon images are from Dustin and I colored them with copics. I then popped up the dragon and frog on foam dots to give a little dimension. The border punch is from EK Success and the chipboard buttons from the $1.00 bin at Micheal's (last years stash), don't you just love a bargain? I threaded some rafia through the buttons and tied it in a bow at the top. The little sign that says Escape is from JoAnn Fabrics. I hope you'll join in with the challenge and also check out Doodle Dragon Studios over at Crafter's Digital Art Center too. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs,
Charlotte
