MIDNIGHT MADNESS (MMSC40)

Happy Tuesday Everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and got to do some fun stuff! I was lucky this weekend to have a tour and free lunch onboard the cruise ship Eurodam from Holland America. Wow, what a huge and stunning ship this is, so beautifully decorated inside and the indonesian rice buffet was so delicious. A real treat! Listen to me going on about my weekend when I should be talking about Midnight Madness!! Oops!
OK so we are on week 40 already....wow! can you believe it! We had such a great number of entries which was fabulous for the DT to view...it's such a pleasure to visit your blogs and see all those beautiful creations!
Our MMSC39 Gold Star Award goes to # 56 Darsie
Our Remarkables go to #23 Ann and #61 America

Stamp and Create is our sponsor this week and I would like to thank Lacey for showering the MMDT with such fantastic stamps to craft with. We are having a ball inking them up.
Here's a little about Lacey...
I was a stay-at-home mom for 7 years so stamping was a great way for some “Mommy time”. But after stamping for over 2 years, my hobby became my obsession..so my obsession became my dream! Now I own an on-line store! Stamp and Create is a new on-line store carrying many popular brands of stamps, paper, and embellishments including: Wags ‘n Whiskers Rubber Stamps, High Hopes Stamps, Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps, Whiff of Joy, Stampavie, Penny Black, The Greeting Farm, Basic Grey, 7 Gypsies, Shimmerz, Nestabilities (always 20% off!!), charms and more!! I am always adding new items to the store…and I will also be adding to my Design Team...so check us out at http://www.stampandcreate.com/ On February 12th, Wags 'n Whiskers is having a Blog Hop and Release. In addition to releasing 8 new images from our Illustrator Crissy Armstrong, we will be releasing 5 images from our new artist...new to the stamping world! Come join the fun!

Our Monthly Sponsor is Cornish Heritage Farms, who so generously gave the DT lots of stamps to play around with! Thank You so much for the lovely stamps!

My card this week is using one of Stamp and Creates cute Wags n Whiskers images. Isn't she just the sweetest thing! I loved coloring this image and had fun adding all the little details too! I colored her in prismacolored pencils, added some flock to the puppy and some glitter to the wings and butterflies. I stitched the card using a scalloped stitch and added the lace and ribbon and finally the metal beads and flowers. I'm happy with how it turned out, and this is one image I will definately use again and again!

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you found a little inspiration here. Please check out my DT sisters blogs to see their gorgeous creations!
Challenges I entered with this card
Pixie Dust Challenge - Decorative border
Sweet Stampin Challenge - Floral Frenzy

Designed2Delight was launched on eBay in February 2008 as my one-of-a-kind handmade card boutique. Now my love for paper, cardmaking, and rubber stamps has grown into a passion for drawing digital stamps. As a card artisian myself, I create digital stamps with the card artist in mind. My digi stamps (soon to be in red rubber) are hand drawn and truly unique! Please visit designed2delight.com to view my full range of stamps.
Cornish Heritage Farms (CHF) is owned & run by Richard & Liz Pomeroy. Why the name? Richard & Liz are originally from Cornwall, England hence the Cornish Heritage & the 'Farms' is the 100 acre farm in north central Montana where they live & where all the stamps are manufactured. Richard & Liz believe in producing a high quality product so all the stamps are deeply etched, red rubber. CHF is a diverse stamp company in the fact that it consists of a variety of different licenses & styles, ranging from very detailed (Thomas Kinkade) to simple line art (Tom Fun Collection) therefore offering something for everyone.
My card this week is using one of Faith's sweet digi images called Beary Good. The image is supposed to have a plate of cookies for Santa but as I decided to make it into a Valentine's card the cookies didn't make it....No I didn't eat them... they just disappeared!!! Ha ha! I colored the little bear in prismacolored pencils and added some stickles to add a little sparkle. The dp is by DCWV called Be Mine. Flowers are from Prima, gems and ribbon from JoAnn's.

Thank you to all you lovely crafters who left sweet comments for me last week, I so appreciate them. I have had some computer issues unfortunately when I visited other blogs, and it's becoming a daily occurance, so if I haven't commented on your cards I do apologize. I'm trying to figure out what I can do about it to prevent the problems from occuring! Thank you for your patience!
Challenges I entered
Challenge up your life Challenge - Valentine's incl. heart

Just a quick post to get this card into a couple of challenges. The first is for CLP18 over at Chelsea's blog which had a lovely sketch, the second challenge is Saturday Spotlight which asked for "Let the sunshine in"....I think my card shows a little sunshine with the color don't you think? I have been trying to get a card into this challenge for three weeks now and I keep missing the deadline (I will post one of the finished ones that didn't make it later on), Sorry Vicki! But I have to tell you that both Vicki and Crystal are so loyal with their comments on everything that I feel awful that I keep missing the deadline. This week I was determined to get it there ON TIME!!!

This precious image is from WOJ by artist Elisabeth Bell. Papers are from K&CO called Que Sera Sera, sentiment stamp is from whimsy stamps, daffodil flower is from Jolee's and the gems from Best Occasions. ribbon from Michael's and small flowers from Prima.

For today's challenge I created something a little different for me. These pretty flower and butterfly stamps are from prima and I decided to color them with prismacolored pencils and add a metallic embellishment in the center of the flower. The butterflies I added stickles to and some pink gems then poped them out on foam squares to give a little dimension.

I hope you will take the time to stop by my DT sisters blogs to check out their wonderful creations and don't forget to play along with MMSC38

CLP15 and WOJ63

Happy Friday everyone!
I hope you are all ready for the weekend, ready to relax and do something fun!
This is just a really quick post today as I'm trying to get this card entered into two challenges....before I miss the deadlines!! The first challenge was for CLP15 over at Chelsea's blog and the second was for WOJ#63 This is the first time I've played WOJ and it was my sweet friend Elise who let me know about the challenge. By the way if you haven't checked out Elise's blog yet, please do, she is mega talented and super sweet to top it off! The image I used is by one of my favorite artists, Elisabeth Bell, and I've used many of her sweet little girls in my past cards but never played WOJ, so this is a new challenge for me! I have to admit though I did rush this card, which I usually don't like to do, I prefer to take my time on each one I create, but these last few days have been so busy I didn't even think I would get this one finished!!
Well, I hope you all enjoy a wonderful weekend!

CLP17 - FUSSY AND FANCY CHALLENGE - MO'S DIGITAL

Good Evening everyone,
I'm very late adding a post today but I've been trying to get some cards finished to enter into some challenges but it's not going as quickly as I'd hoped it would!!! Anyway, I have had this sweet image from Mo's digitals colored for a while and had wanted to use it over Christmas....as you can see that didn't happen, but now I figured, well it's still winter so this card could be used for a winter birthday right?
I actually made this using the sketch from Chelsea over at CLP.....it's been too long since I have played over there....sorry Chelsea! I'm also entering this into the Fusssy and Fancy Friday Challenge which has Winter as their theme this week!
So without further ado, I will bid you all a good evening and go attach this to the CLP blog!!
See you sometime before the weekend......I hope!

Charlotte

MIDNIGHT MADNESS (MMSC37)

Happy Tuesday everyone!
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and were able to get some crafting done! I am actually proud of myself for finishing a couple of cards that were not complete, although I can't show you them yet!! The weather has finally heated up here and we have had temps back in the high 70's already. I was quite enjoying the cold spell, but I guess living here I can't expect it to stick around.
Now for the important stuff.....it's time for MMSC37 and you do not want to miss this one...check out Priscilla's blog for all the information, you'll be glad you did! We had a good turn out again this week and the DT enjoyed seeing all your lovely creations.
Congratulations to our award winners this week

Our sponsor this month is

and I have actually used one of their lovely images. I decided to make a book mark instead of a card, don't worry I won't be squishing the flowers between the pages....that's what the ribbon is for!! I like how this one came out, even though there are plenty of other crafty peeps who would have done a much better job than me on the vintage style! I did have to improvise a bit with my bookmark because of the lack of space, but I think you can see the sketch in it. Hey at least I gave it a shot!!
Our weekly sponsor is Charlene from
 Sweet Scrap Deal

Charlene says "After getting laid off last summer I decided to follow a passion of mine, scrapbooking. I love to scrapbook and shop for scrapbook products! My desire was to be a business owner and bring the best deals out there to scrapbookers and card makers. I began this online store with a vision of "one deal a day" but it has grown into so much more! You'll find that everything is on sale all of the time! There is also a clearance section with items that are priced so low, you can't afford not to scrap!I love being able to supply all of you with sweet deals on quality scrapbooking goodies.  For more information on my store and all the classes I offer, please visit my website at www.sweetscrapdeal.com or my blog http://sweetpiecesbyme.blogspot.com/"

I colored my image in prismacolored pencils, glazed over her dress with paper glaze then added some stickles. Around the edges I chalked to give it a vintage look.

At the top of the bookmark I added a copper metal tag that says remember, a few flowers and gems

the bottom was finished off with lace, ribbon, a flower and leaves.

So that's it for today! I would love to hear what you have to say about this bookmark!
Don't forget to check out my lovely DT sisters creations too!
