MIDNIGHT MADNESS (MMSC47) - IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!

Happy Tuesday Folks,
I hope you all enjoyed a lovely weekend and did some fun things. I'm writing this post today with mixed emotions....happy because "It's my Birthday" but also sad because today we have to say goodbye to two of our DT sisters......
Sue and Jane are persuing other things in their lives and have decided to step down from the team, and as we have become such a loving, supportive family that it's so hard to say goodbye! We have laughed and cried together, supported each other through things that have happened in our personal lives and have come to love our weekly emails with one another.  I know for sure that we are not the only ones who will miss seeing their names on Priscilla's blog, but you the players will also miss them too. Please join me in letting both Sue and Jane know how much they are loved and cared about and that they will be greatly missed from the Midnight Madness Team.  Please stop by their blogs to show some love as it is an emotional day for them too! WE LOVE YOU SUE AND JANE xxxx
OK, enough of the sad stuff....now onto the weekly business....we are now on week 47 and have been admiring the gorgeous creations all of you have been making! WOW, how terrific you all are to give the DT such beautiful cards to look at each week. Our congratulations go out to all our winners this week:
 Our Masterpiece award goes to
#70 Susan Killiam
Our Remarkable awards go to
#24 Guro
#34 Chelsea
Our sponsor for this month has been Priscillastyles-store
I made the thick style 6 X 6 envelope with Priscilla's kit and it came out so great. This card has lots of depth to it because of the embellishments but it fits perfectly inside the thick envelope.
This card is something different than what I usually make but I had fun with it! When I asked my son what he thought (I always get an honest opinion from my little one), he told me he liked the card, but it's very busy!!!

The inside of my card I stitched and added a few flowers and have to say I do like how it came out...even if it is busy!
I love this little sentiment as it's so true

Challenges entered with this card
Your Next Stamp #12 - Distressing
Crafty Ann's Challenge #11 - For someone that is special

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed my card and envelope set.
Have a lovely day and a very happy week!

EASTER EGG HUNT FOR PAPER ART FROM STUDIO313 (S313DTC)

Happy Thursday to you all!
Today I decided to finish my card that I have been working on for a couple of days (in between helping out at my son's school and running a bunch of errands!!!) I made this easel card for a DT call for Shawne over at Paper Art from Studio313, she is opening her own store and is looking for a small design team.

There are two awesome images to choose from and this is the one I chose called "Egg hunt". Isn't this the cutest! I love the frilly knickers on that little tot! As you can imagine I had so much fun with this card and love how it turned out. I hope Shawne like's it too!!
I colored the image with copics and prismacolored pencils, added some glitter glue and glaze to give a little shine and sparkle and of course I couldn't resist stitching this card with the scalloped stitch...one of my favorites. The green dp is DCWV Sweet stack and the pink striped dp is Making Memories Simply Fabulous in Brooke Narrow Stripe.
Ribbon is from my stash and the little Easter egg stickers are from Recollections
The bunny is either Jolee's, Recollections or Paper Bliss...sorry I don't remember which!
The corner punch is from the EK Success and the daisy flower I believe I purchased at Michael's but not sure who makes them!
Challenges entered
Bee Crafty - Spring
Crazy for challenges C4C29 - Spring
Cute Card Thursday #105 - dimensions
Allsorts #44 - Spring is in the air

MIDNIGHT MADNESS (MMSC46)

Happy Tuesday everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and got to do something really fun! I know I did, I went bowling with my son, family and a few friends to celebrate his birthday. His actual birthday was on the 14th but we didn't have his party until this weekend. All the children had a blast and this time around I was actually not Queen of the gutter balls!!! LOL
Ok now down to business...how did you enjoy seeing all those fabulous cards on Priscilla's blog. I loved seeing them in the thumbnails so that they were easily accessable, it also gives our loyal players a chance to have their cards displayed for all to see!

On the reverse side of the card I made a pocket to put a bookmark and two labels to place on gifts. I also used Priscilla's 6X6 envelope kit to make a matching envelope.
I hope you will join in the fun this week and create a card for the challenge. Don't forget to check out Priscilla's blog to join in the fun blog candy and the cruise!

DUSTIN PIKE - CHALLENGE # 6 - RELEASES TOO!

This image is called "bunny n eggs"
Here is "chick stuck"and below is the inside
Happy Sunday everyone!
It's been a while since I posted anything for Dustin so today I have a few little cards I wanted to share with you all. The challenge over at Doodle Dragon Studios Challenge Blog is to make an Easter card so I made two from those cute images that Dustin released on March 4th. As Easter is just around the corner I figured that I'd better get something made ahead of time otherwise I will be rushing at the last minute!

I also put some little bookmarks together this morning, the images were already colored a while ago and were waiting patiently for me to make them into something!

Here's a closeup of two of them! I used "Bunny and chicks" on the left and "oops bunny" on the right, the last bookmark was made with "carrot racer"! You can get a whole set of 23 images with all the bunnies and chick I used in this post for just $6.00! Now that's a bargain!
The next card was made for Dustin's release on March 19th, the Kit-e-cat's which are super cute and good for all times of the year. If you haven't checked out either of these releases, you might want to hop on over there and take a look....there are so many images on one sheet, it's definately worth a look.
This is "chaughtcha" from the Kit-e-cat release. Isn't it cute?
on the inside I used "cat n mouse" and "fishbones"
OK that's it for me today, I have some chores I desperately need to catch up with....I'd much rather be making cards but hey we all need clean clothes at some point right!!!
Enjoy the rest of your day!
Hugs,
Charlotte

There is blog candy too, so sail on over there and check that out.
Now to my card this week. I decided to use a vintage image I have had for a while, I just love this sweet picture of mother and daughter together. I think I'm addicted to the easel cards as this is another one. Good thing I have Priscilla's envelope kit to make the thicker envelope!
I layered the image several times to give some depth to it, made the mother's dress sparkle with stickles, added a string of pink sequins around the picture and a couple of flowers, a pin with beads and a Love dimensional sticker to the lower part of the card and voila...that's all there is to it! Plus some dry embossing and stitching!

You can see the thickness of the card which easily fits into the box style envelope from Priscilla's store. I stitched the back of the envelope flaps and decorated the front with more stitching and rose stickers.

dp - DCWV Be Mine stack and Old World Stack
Flowers - Prima
Pin - Blue Moon Metal Head from Joann's

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY LITTLE ONE!

Happy Sunday everyone!
I hope you are enjoying your weekend and making the most of your crafting time. I was busy yesterday trying to get this set finished for my little boy Thijs who is having his 6th birthday today. He has been home with me all week getting plenty of rest after his recent surgery, so for me to get his presents wrapped and card set made was definately a challenge. Thijs just fell in love with this precious little kitten from Motivet from the first time he saw it so I knew I needed to make a card with this sweet image. He says it reminds him of our fur ball Harley, who is a white Himalayan.

I made a card (which I can't show you yet!), a bookmark, door hanger, labels and a treat bag.
and this is our fur ball Harley...in his usual position!!!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Charlotte

MIDNIGHT MADNESS (MMSC44)

Happy Tuesday Folks!
I hope you all enjoyed a great weekend and are ready for another Midnight Madness challenge! I must apologize to the players last week, I did not get around to viewing all the cards that you made, but hopefully if time allows this week I will be able to!
Congratulations to all our Award winners this week.
Our Masterpiece award goes to
Brenda Kluge #38
Our Remarkable awards go to
Jakester #2
Patty #82
Our weekly sponsor is Lacey from Stamp and Create
                  Our March sponsor is Priscillastyles

As you can probably guess, I had so much fun with this weeks sketch and with this sweet Precious Moments image. I loved using the pretty Spring colors, and trying to match the dp with the image. I even made a smaller image for the matching envelope!
As the envelopes are such a great size I decided to make an easel card and use this pretty pink rose which is quite thick, but there was no problem easily fitting this card into the envelope.

The inside of the card I decorated with coordinating dp and placed a tag card inside the pocket for writing your sentiments with ease. I duplicated the ribbon effect and added the little Thank you sentiment and popped up a butterfly for added dimension.
I have made my own 6X6 envelopes before but must admit when it came to folding them I had a few issues, I could never get them truly square. Now that I have Priscilla's envelope kit it all went much more smoothly and actually took me a lot less time!

I want to say a special Thank You to those of you who have sent your best wishes for my little boy. His surgery went well and he is at home resting. Your thoughts and prayers truly helped me get through it for sure!
Hugs,
Charlotte
