DOODLE DRAGON STUDIOS - WATER CHALLENGE

Good Morning!

We are having a water challenge over at Doodle Dragon Studios today, and I made my owl using an image from the Feb. 2013 Membership number 006

I colored the little owl in copics then put the sentiment, "You rock my boat" on the front and on the inside it says, "Now get off, you're making me seasick!"

Hope you all enjoyed a fun St. Patrick's Day celebration this weekend. 

Over at Dustin's place we're having another challenge and this one's "Sugar and Spice" - Girly theme. So for all of you who like to make "pretty" cards, let's see your fabby creations. I chose an image from the Nov. 2011 Membership, and I just love this skating bear. I've been doing some ice skating myself lately, trying to learn how to skate without falling down!!

DOODLE DRAGON STUDIOS - SEEING COLORS, PASTEL CHALLENGE

Good Morning!

Today we have a fun but somewhat challenging challenge for you! To create something using pastel colors with one of Dustin's images. Most of the DT did some complaining about the pastel thing so I kind of took advantage of that with my sentiment! All the whining and protests from the girls (oh I'm so mean!) ended up on my card! I actually didn't mind doing the pastel colors and love the way this cute owl turned out. Right now I think I'm addicted to Dustin's owl images....they are too darn cute! Doodle Dragon Studios - Snips and Snails Boys Theme Challenge

Good Morning!

Today I have a cute Dudley card to share with you all, this one's from Dustin Pike's April 2012 Members Art # 10

I made this one with the cub scouts in mind as we are going fishing next week! Thought it might be a way to keep them on track and well behaved!

Doodle Dragon Studios Challenge - Loves me, Loves me not - Valentine's Day

Happy Ground Hog day!

No that's not a groundhog on my card I know, but it's one of Dustin's adorable raccoons from his December Members Art #03

 I decided to go with white and a touch of red for Valentines Day! On the outside is "I stole your heart" and on the inside it says "I stole your chocolates too!"

Here's my second card using the same image. I just love this little raccoon, although I'm glad he's on my cards on not in my garden!

Doodle Dragon Studios - Voodoo Dolls

Happy Monday Folks!

Do you Voodoo like I Voodoo? That is the question!

  Dustin has created these super cute Voodoo Dolls for you all to create and have fun with. I couldn't resist my caption for this cutie pie, "You Will love me" (like you have a choice in the matter), on the inside it says "Voodoo dolls have feelings too!" Just think of how many times these little dolls get poked with pins, yikes...glad I'm not a voodoo doll! So go give 'em so love instead. 

Notice my chain and pins in the ribbon! 

I added some shine to the eyes and hearts and popped up the image to give a little depth.

TGIF - Yep I said it! This week's flown by so fast I can't believe we are almost at the weekend and getting pretty close to the end of January already. Didn't we just have Christmas?

Well good morning and Happy Saturday to you all!

It's been too long since I've actually created anything or posted on my blog, but I'm glad to be back. 

Over at Dustin's place he's got a fabulous new release called Wintery Dragons and they are so cute! Having just come back from a wintery vacation myself, I just had to choose the skiing dragon. Not that my experiences with skiing were very good, but that's another story!

Good Morning!

Are you ready for a color challenge? Over at Doodle Dragon Studios that's what we have for you today, to create something with one of Dustin's images using the colors Red, Yellow and Orange. For my card I used one of Dustin's new images from his Blogiversary set which you can find HERE! I chose this image for my son, his 2nd grade year is almost over and it has literally zoomed by so fast that this was the most perfect image to use. He has done such an incredible job with his grades, been on the honor roll the entire year and so far has perfect attendance! So I wanted to congratulate him on having a great year! 

I colored Dudley in copics, sponged the sky area then added some glaze to the race car and goggles. The dp is from DCWV Grade School stack, ribbon from Michael's.

Happy Earth Day today too!

Over at Dustin's place we are having a challenge - "Outdoors". See what you can come up with using one of Dustin's images with an outdoor theme. For my contribution I chose one of Dustin's new images, this cute frog hanging out on his hammock. Kind of where I'd like to be right now, over the water in a hammock doing nothing at all! Not that I'll have the chance to do that but it's worth dreaming about!

DOODLE DRAGON STUDIOS CHALLENGE - MAKE US SMILE

Happy Easter!

I'm sure most of you are enjoying your Easter celebrations and making the most of this special day. Over at Pike's Playground we are having another challenge and we want you to -Make us smile! Use any of Dustin's images and produce a project that would put a smile on someone's face. I used this fabby dragon image with his tail in flames coz as soon as I saw it it made me laugh! I can't take credit for the sentiment, I'd seen it somewhere on the internet and figured it fit my card for this challenge.  

I picked the cupcake dp and chocolate colors to go along with it as it's Easter weekend and the thought of chocolate covered dragons sounded pretty good....or would you rather chocolate bunnies instead? In England we have such great Easter eggs, hollow chocolate with delicious goodies inside but I've not been able to find them over here and if anyone was to send one over from the UK, customs would have a field day with them!

Anyway, enough chocolate talk, I'm getting hungry! Hope you'll join us this week for this fun challenge and don't forget to check out my DT sisters creations.

I have a very special image on my card which was drawn by my son's art teacher, Lori Nadaskay! If you like her images you can check her etsy site out HERE. She has some really pretty flowers, contemporary artwork and some lovely, cute little critters too! My project was actually made from a paper bag which I folded half way up and made into a pocket which holds the tag and could also fit a gift card for a special someone. The image is colored with copics, decorated edge and butterfly were done with Martha Stewart punches, flourishes completed using ink and a stencil from Layers of Color, flowers and lace were from my stash.

DOODLE DRAGON STUDIOS CHALLENGE - IT'S A DUDLEY KINDA DAY

Good morning fellow crafters.. how's your weekend going so far? Are you ready to join the Doodle Dragon Studios team with our next challenge? Sure hope so coz today we are asking you to make something using one of Dustin's Dudley images! Yep that's right, today "it's a Dudley Kinda Day" challenge. So pick out your favorite Dudley and go create something with it. 

My creation was made for some special firefighters here in Miami (Station 3), who were so wonderful with my son's class. We went on a field trip to the fire station and the tour they gave us was so awesome, the children all had such a great time and learned so much. This was a special unit with some members having been in New York to help with the 9/11 rescue mission, and that's why I chose to go there over all the other stations. Sometimes we take for granted what these firefighters and paramedics do, but when you see first hand what their job entails, you find a new appreciation for them. These are our true heroes for sure, so for all of you who know a firefighter, go give them a hug and thank them for what they do for us. Putting their lives at stake in order to keep us safe!  

I colored fire fighter Dudley in copics and used dp from DCWV All About Boys. The ribbon was from my stash.  

Here's the inside of my card. I wanted to keep it simple as it was for a bunch of guys. LOL 

So here's another big Thank You to Station 3 in Miami...you are the best!

DOODLE DRAGON STUDIOS CHALLENGE - MY LIFE IS A ZOO

Howdy folks! 

Are you ready for another Pike's Playground challenge? This one should be a fun one as we are asking you to make something with a Dustin image with the challenge "My life is a zoo!" Let's see how creative you can get with this one! I decided to use Dustin's cupcake monkey which I've had printed up for a while already and as many people make the New Year's resolution to lose weight I thought this would be a fun card with those perfect images. Te he! 

I've made another card with this Z-fold design which you can find at Beccy's Place and I have to say I love how it turned out. 

This is the first cupcake monkey image, you see the cupcake complete and the monkey seems so excited to see it. 

The second image shows little monkey with fat cheeks after munching on the cupcake! 

and finally little monkey feeling awfully full after finishing off a good portion of the cupcake! I'm sure we've all felt like that at some point of time, right! 

I colored the images with copics, used some paper glaze to give shine to the icing on the top. The dp is from Making Memories Simply Fabulous Maddi Narrow Stripe and Maddi Paisley. Ribbon is from Micheal's and little gems from JoAnn's Fabrics.

MIDNIGHT MADNESS (MMSC136)

Good Morning and Happy March to you all! I can't believe we're already starting the 3rd month of the year, where did Jan. and Feb. disappear to? Over at Midnight Madness we have another sketch for you and this one is good for the whole month, so you've got plenty of time to play along with us. For my project this time I decided to alter a little notebook that I've had for a while. It wasn't very exciting to look at and needed a little tlc! I love how it turned out and this is definately one of my favorite images from Priscilla.
