The Midnight Madness Team is just thrilled with out sponsor this month. Chelsea from Gurlee Girl Design was VERY GENEROUS to our entire team. You will be getting a big treat, because we get to share some of her wonderful images on our sketch samples this month. Chelsea is a very talented artist and I just love her work, as I'm sure you will too.

Our weekly sponsor is Belles n Whistles!! They have some really fabulous stamps by the very talented Artist Elisabeth Bell. Summer from over at Belles ‘n Whistles is giving away two adorable stamps for the Bonus winner of this weeks Sketch challenge (MMSC21)

My card this week has one of Chelsea's adorable stamps, and is colored in prismacolor pencils and OMS. I stitched the black background, then layered the orange, dry embossed paper on pop dots. Added some black gems and the flower, complete with pin and that's it! I had so much fun making this one!

Card recipe: dp by core'dinations, embossing - cuttlebug birds and florishes, flowers - Prima, gems and ribbon from JoAnn's.

Hope your Tuesday is a good one.

Four Challenges!

Happy Wednesday everyone!
I hope you checked out all the things going on over at the Midnight Madness site yesterday.....don't forget to mark your calendars for Oct. 16th when we have our BLOG HOP!!!
Today I have made a card for a few challenges. The first is CLP challenge, number 3, where Chelsea made a fabulous sketch! If you haven't checked out this challenge, you should do because Chelsea's sketches are fun to create with. The second challenge was OCC which was the color combo, pink, white, chocolate and hot pink. The third one was for Stamp Something which called for a creation using your favorite colors or dp......I used both!! I've just realised I can also add this to the Flutter By Wednesday Challenge as they are asking to create something with a flower and butterfly or fairy!! I thought about adding Stamp with fun to the challenges but not convinced that this really fits....they asked for something for Autumn! I don't think I'll enter it into that one.

I used a WOJ image and colored her in prismacolored pencils and OMS. dp is from S.E.I (brown butterfly paper) and K&Co., (pink & white floral paper), flowers are by prima, lace from JoAnn's, butterfly from Michael's.

Let me know what you think!
Enjoy the rest of your day!
Hugs,
Charlotte

CRAFTING LIFE'S PIECES (CLP2)

Happy Saturday!
I hope you are all enjoying the beginning of the weekend!
Well I was really late this week for Crafting Life's Pieces sketch challenge, but I made it so I'm happy about that...I guess better late than never! If you haven't tried out this challenge site yet, you should go check it out because the sketches that Chelsea makes are really pretty ones and when you see her samples you will be amazed!!
Well, I was busy with three blog hops over the last couple of days and really enjoyed each of them. The first one was Belles n Whistles, showcasing all of Elisabeth Bell's new images, (which of course are one of my favorites!), the second one was Squigglefly that had super cute images and today I completed the third one from Stampers United. They have some very talented ladies participating including our very own Priscilla, hostess of Midnight Madness!!
Although the first two blog hops are over already, they are still worth a look to get some inspiration from.

Ok, onto my card.....I used a stamp from WOJ, guardian angel collection, which I have used once before and I just love this little girl! I colored her in prismacolored pencils and copics, then chalked lightly around the edges. The dp is from core'dinations, ribbons and flowers are from Prima, brushed silver book plate is Craft Essentials from Joann's, edge punch is from Martha Stewart and I used the Sizzix die Flower and Vine #2 to make the florish. The little silver heart charm is from my stash.
Let me know what you think!

Have a super weekend....

Hugs, Charlotte

DUSTIN PIKE RELEASE DAY! MOJO MONDAY

Happy Thursday folks!
Well we are almost at the weekend again!! Are you all ready for a nice relaxing rest or are you going to get busy with your crafting? Not sure what I'm going to do yet, I guess it depends on whether I finish all the laundry by tomorrow!!!
Today over at Dustin's place he has a cute bunch of bears and penguin's release....called "buddies", I still need to finish one more, so perhaps I'll post again later or tomorrow if I don't get the photos taken in good light! I had so much fun creating this card, I just love the little bear and penguin duo! This one I made using the Mojo Monday sketch....yes, I know it's late but I liked the simple sketch so figured I'd give it a shot. I colored the image in prismacolored pencils and markers, popped the little penguin gift out on pop dots, used my spellbinders circles and added a little glitter glue to give a little sparkle. The little Christmas tree was cut from lace cardstock by KI Memories, and I added a snowflake brad to the top of the tree. That's it!

DUSTIN'S IMAGES RETIRING!!! GET THEM WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!
Please read what Dustin has to say about this......

"I am currently working on a line of rubber stamps (don't worry I will still do Digi's) BUT some of the rubber designs will be similar to some of my past digi's. So I am retiring pages 1 thru 5 from my site. http://www.doodledragonstudios.com/ I am selling all images for $25.00. It is good until midnight Sept. 25th. I will not offer these again until Jan/Feb 2010, and at that point will have to see what was made into rubber and what wasn't and if there is a design conflict some of them might not return.... I cannot tell you who this company is just yet, they do a lot of outside the U.S. sales, which will be good for those Doodle Dragon fans living around the world...http://www.doodledragonstudios.com/justincase.htmlSpread the word, this wil be the last time Boo Boo Dragon, CupeCake Monkey and a few other favorites will be around..."

****Please don't miss out on this awesome chance to get these digi's...it is such an awesome deal!

Let me know what you think....and don't forget to slide on over to Dustin's place!!
Hugs,
Charlotte

DUSTIN PIKE FREEBIE DAY!

Happy Wednesday everyone!
Well today is the day over at Dustin's place for the freebie and as you can see it's a cute scarecrow! I had fun making this card, a little rushed but I got it done! I actually made this for 3 challenges, all new for me so I'm not sure whether they "fit" the challenges perfectly, but at least I gave them a shot. The first one is for Stamp Something where we were to use our favorite embellishment (mine being ribbons), the second challenge was for OCC which was to make something for Fall, and the third challenge was Stamp with Fun that had a sketch ( I had to tweak it a little as the image was large, so you can't see all the ribbons too easily).
Anyway, hopefully tomorrow I will be back with Dustin's cute releases which I am sure you will all love!
On my card I colored the image in prismacolored pencils and markers then popped out the little birds to give dimension. The dp is from core'dinations, organdy ribbon from Michael's, gems are by studio18, rafia from my stash, and pumpkin button from Joann's.
I'd love to hear what you think!
I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!
Hugs,
Charlotte

Our weekly sponsor......many thanks for this sponsorship!

If you have not checked these sites out, please take some time to do it, they both have some really terrific things for your crafting needs.
Now onto my card! I would have loved to make this an oval as the sketch was drawn but as I don't have an oval nestie, I had to settle on a circle one!!! This pretty image is one from DRS Designs and of course being English and loving tea, I just had to have this stamp!!! I colored it in prismacolored pencils then layered it with pop dots and glazed it over with paper glaze to give it that ceramic feel. Paper is from K & Co. called Gyspy Baby, ribbons are from Anna Griffin, flowers and teapot button are from Joann's, and gems are from my stash. I really like the colors on this one and I hope you like them too!

CRAFTING LIFE'S PIECES FIRST CHALLENGE!

Hello Everyone.......TGIF!!!

I can't believe how fast this week has flown by and we are almost at the weekend already!! I hope you all enjoyed your week and have something exciting planned for your days off.

Last night we went computer researching!! Oh what fun that was! I think it's finally time to give this one a rest and invest in a laptop that will at least cooperate with us. We'd love the apple computer but the funds aren't there right now....so we will settle for something a little less expensive! As long as the computer doesn't give me any hassle...I will be fine!!

OK, now on to my card....this one was made for the very talented and sweet Chelsea Dang for her first challenge on her blog "Crafting Life's Pieces". If you haven't checked her blog out yet.....what are you waiting for?? Chelsea makes the most beautiful scrapbook/memory book pages and cards too, her details are absolutely amazing and what I love about her is that some of her cards and layouts are made for charity....something I would like to get into.

This beautiful image is by the very talented Inger Harding from Norway, whom I just discovered a couple of days ago. Please take some time to check out her gorgeous creations too. I just loved this image and wanted to keep it as close to original as possible, so colored it very delicately with prismacolored pencils just to give a little color. I added some sparkly mod Podge on the edges, window and dress to give a little sparkle. The paper is from DCWV - the Rustic stack, flowers are from Prima - fabric fancies and nursery tales, ribbon from my stash, pearl gems from Recollections.
Let me know what you think!

Dustin Pike - Pink Elephant Challenge

Happy Wednesday evening folks!
Hope you all had a good creative day today. Sorry this post is late but I didn't get a chance to do this earlier. This little snowman is a Dustin Pike digi from his Christmas images and I had him colored a while ago. The image is colored with copics then popped up with pop dots, glazed with paper glaze and Modge Podge to give a little sparkle and shine. I made him for the Pink Elephant Challenge which called for one ribbon, two squares and something that sparkles! Well I ended up with more than one thing that sparkles.......got a little carried away I think!! Anyway, it was so much fun to make, not your usual Christmas colors but I like him!
Card recipe
Image - Dustin Pike
DP - DCWV Christmas stack and Old World Stack
Ribbon - Micheal's
Gems - Martha Stewart
Flower - Prisma
Let me know what you think!
