MIDNIGHT MADNESS (MMSC97)

It's Tuesday once again and time for another Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. This week is extra special as we are being sponsored by Priscilla and her lovely digi's. I totally goofed though this week as I got the sponsors mixed up and when it was time to get my card in I realised that I'd made the wrong image on the wrong sketch :( But I was able to fix my faux pas and get the right one done just in time! Phew!
On to our congratulations this week

For my card I used one of Priscilla's beautiful flying birds which is a favorite of mine. I colored it in copics then brushed it over with Creme Brulee spray mist from Lindy's Stamp Gang which actually makes it look like a sugared bird in real life!! LOL I love it! I popped the image up on foam dots to make it look like the bird was actually flying in to land on the flowers. DP is from DCWV Once Upon a Time stack, flowers and gems from Prima, lace border from JoAnn's and leaves made from Martha Stewart punch.
Thank you for stopping by and leaving me a message. I so look forward to my comments! Don't forget to stop by my DT sisters to check out their gorgeous creations.
Have a wonderful day!

DOODLE DRAGON CHALLENGE - ANYTHING BUT A CARD

Howdy folks!
It's Sunday and time for another Doodle Dragon Studios Challenge....are you ready for this one? Today's challenge is to make anything but a card in the Easter theme! Sounds like fun huh! Well it was fun to create something else and you all know me, I love to alter things so that's exactly what I did, I altered a clear box that used to contain decoration eggs in it. I just turned it upside down to make a little Easter basket.
Dustin has some super cute bunnies for Easter and I just couldn't decide which to use so I played around with a couple of them, plus some flowers, chicks and the sign from Dustin too! This is what my box looked like before....
I turned the clear part upside down, covered it in the dotted dp, added a handle, some ribbon and flowers and of course the adorable images and there you have it, an Easter basket. My images were colored in copics and prismacolored pencils, then the tricky part for me was cutting them all out....arrrgh! I need some really good sharp scissors that are small enough to get the tricky areas!
Here's one side closer up
Here's the other side with that cuddly little bunny and the tulips! As you can imagine this was a lot of fun to make, even though I had to cut the grass by hand too....on my project that is! Anyway, I hope you'll take the time to hop on over to Dustin's blog to check out all the fun stuff that's going on over there. Oh and don't forget to sign up for his newsletter that's coming out in April. While you're there, go take a peek at the rest of the DT's fabby creations.
Have a great day!

MIDNIGHT MADNESS (MMSC96)

Good Tuesday Morning everyone!
Yep, it's that time of the week again, time for another Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge...are you all ready? This one's a great sketch with so many possibilities to create with, I had a lot of fun and knew exactly which images I wanted to use. Plus on the fancy sketch there are some areas to create with stick pins! But first let me congratulate our winners this week!

My card this week was made using one of Dustin Pike's adorable bunny images and his flower image. I just fell in love with the plant pot bunny as soon as I saw him! Mischevious don't you think!! Anyway, I colored him in copics and layered the pot, his paws and the flower to give a little dimension. I also touched the flowers up with Lindy's Stamp Gang Creme Brulee spray which gives a fabulous sheen to them. I tried to get a picture in the natural light so you could see the shine but not sure whether it came out well enough! I added some scalloped stitching, prima flowers, gems from Michael's and string from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The stick pins I've had made up for a while already so it was finally nice to actually use them!

This past week I've had my son off from school with his Spring break so we've been out and about all week doing some fun stuff. We went to the beach, went bowling, played in the pool and enjoyed the gorgeous weather we've been having here, but yesterday we had tears (from him not me ;) as he didn't want to go back to school! I felt so bad for him, but I guess when you have a week full of fun it's hard to go back to reality for a little one! But I keep telling him that he only has until the end of May then he's off for the summer....all 12 weeks of fun :)
Have a wonderful week and don't forget to go visit my DT sisters and leave them some love.
Hugs,
Charlotte

MIDNIGHT MADNESS (MMSC95)

Happy Midnight Madness day folks!
Well first I want to say a Happy Birthday to my little boy who turned 7 yesterday and as I didn't post a card as I was busy playing and spending his special day with him, today I am celebrating Thijs on my blog! I still can't believe that he is 7 years already, time flies by so quickly! I feel so fortunate to have been able to stay home and raise him myself...so many milestones that I wouldn't have wanted to miss for anything in this world. He is the light of my life and always will be. So Happy Birthday Thijs XXX This card's for you!
Onto our challenge this week, and to begin with let's congratulate our winners...

Here's Dudley trying to blow out the cherry ontop of his cupcake. This image is from Dustin Pike and Thijs just wanted him on his party invitations and cake as he thought he was so cute. I layered Dudley to give him a little dimension and glittered the cupcake paper, flame and candle using Lindy's Stamp Gang's Creme Brulee spray.
Here's a closeup of the cupcake
I couldn't resist putting some sparkle on the flames! He he!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a fabulous week!

REALLY REASONABLE RIBBON CHALLENGE MEETS DUSTIN PIKE

Hello again,
This is my second post for today! Yes, it's really unusual for me to do more than one post!! LOL But this one I just had to show you. Dustin Pike is sponsoring Really Reasonable Ribbon today and asked the DT if anyone would like to join in with the challenge and receive some ribbon samples too! Well who wouldn't want to receive some gorgeous ribbon! The challenge is "For a Boy", so I chose to make a baby gift for a boy and used some sweet bunny images from Dustin.
This is the back of the pillow box showing the pretty blue ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The flowers and stars on the front of the pillow box are also Dustin's creations.
Here's a closer look at the tag with bunny and his favorite carrot blankie! The string is also from Really Reasonable Ribbon too.
I just love this sweet bunny sleeping on the moon.
Here's a closeup of one of the ribbons
I hope you will join in this challenge this week and check out what the other ladies from Dustin's DT created too. Really Reasonable Ribbon challenge
Thank you to Bonnie and Trudy for sending such a wonderful selection of ribbon to work with.
Thanks so much for stopping by,
Hugs,

DOODLE DRAGON CHALLENGE - SPRING SHOWERS

Good Morning Spring friends!
Did you remember to put your clocks forward today? Yes, it's that time of the year when we lose the extra hour of sleep, but luckily for me my son is on Spring break so we got to sleep a little extra today, yay! That doesn't happen very often at all as normally on weekends his internal clock seems stuck at 6:30am!! So I enjoyed the extra hour in bed. Over at Doodle Dragon Studios we are still celebrating the Spring with this weeks challenge being "Spring Showers". Now you can interpret that anyway you want to! Baby showers, wedding showers, rain showers...you name it, the decision is yours.
I chose to do a baby shower card and tag set as I was recently making a project for a challenge over at Really Reasonable Ribbon and decided to continue the theme here with this adorable bunny peeking out of his pram. I love this image and all the baby bunny images Dustin created, they are fun to color and create with and I'll definately be using this one again.
I colored the images in copics, chalked the edges, embossed the tag with a swiss dots folder and added some little buttons to the card. The ribbon and colored string is from Really Reasonable Ribbon and let me tell you they have some awesome stuff over there.
Here's a closeup of the little tag, isn't that bunny just the sweetest! It reminds me of when my son was born as he had a few bunnies in his crib. Can't believe he will be celebrating his 7th birthday tomorrow. I'm so excited for him as he's so enthusiastic about his birthday this year. Needless to say I have a bunch of stuff I still need to do and making his card is one of those things! LOL
Anyway, I hope you'll join in the Spring Showers fun with us and don't forget to pop on over to my DT pals and leave them some love.
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs,
Charlotte

MIDNIGHT MADNESS (MMSC94)

Happy Midnight Madness day!
Did you all have a great weekend and do something fun and creative? I hope the weather is getting to be more beautiful for those of you who are in the cooler climates. Here in Miami the weather has been gorgeous, in the 70's and windy with lots of sunshine. I love this weather and being outdoors before the summer heat comes around when I get miserable ;( At least this time of year I can still have a good hair day!
Over at Midnight Madness we are on week 94, can you believe that! WOW! It doesn't seem that long ago that Priscilla started the challenge and now we are close to 100!

Brand NEW Whimsie Doodles Baby Joy Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp Set - Retail Value of $20
Thank you so much Whimsie Doodles for your wonderful offer and prize.
**Our March Monthly sponsor is....

For my card this week I used one of the adorable images from Whimsie Doodles called Princess Leah! I had so much fun with this sweet little girl. As I have a son I don't get to do all that pretty stuff that you'd be able to do with a daughter so this was a nice change. I'm not complaining, I love boy stuff and I think if I had a daughter she'd most likely be a tomboy!
I colored the image in copics and prismacolored pencils then layered sections to give her a little dimension, added some prima flowers and gems from Michael's and voila...here she is. The background dp is DCWV Sweet stack.
Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving your comments, I so appreciate them. Don't forget to show some love for my DT sisters too!
Have a wonderful day!

MIDNIGHT MADNESS (MMSC93)

Happy Tuesday Folks and welcome to another Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. Are you ready for some fun crafting and creating with this weeks sketch? I had fun creating my project this week and although I literally had about two hours to complete it (for a 7 year old's birthday), and felt a bit rushed, I'm super happy with how it turned out! But more about that later!
First, congratulations to all our fabulous winners this week!

Here is the set I made using this adorable image from Michelle Perkett. Isn't it the cutest? I had a gift certificate for a school friend of my son's and didn't have time to make another card for it, so I put an image that I'd previously colored onto a plastic tin, added some butterflies, flower and some ribbon and that's it! On the inside I put some irredescent grass and the gift card. A quick and easy project that was very well recieved.
The little tin can be reused to store something else once the gift card is removed. It can be opened over and over again as it comes complete with a metal washer to easily flip open the lid.
Here's a closeup of that sweet puppy on the card.
Here's a photo of the flower and butterfly I added to the lid.
Well I hope you'll join in with the fun this week and don't forget to stop by my DT sisters and show them some love!
Have a wonderful week!
Hugs,
Charlotte
