Happy Tuesday Everyone!
Hope you all enjoyed a lovely Valentine's day and were able to spend the day with the ones you love! My sweet hubby had to work so we actually had our Valentine's yesterday instead.
I'm actually loosing track of the weeks here, they seem to be just flying by.....wasn't it just Christmas a few weeks ago? Now we are already half way through the month of February! Onto MMSC41 already too, I feel like I just uploaded MMSC40....did someone steal my week? Ahhhhhhh...will someone please stop the days going by so quickly! OK, so enough about the time otherwise I won't get this post finished!!! LOL
We had a terrific turnout for MMSC40 and the DT was so happy to see all those fabulous creations. Hopefully we will see the same enthusiasm this week!Congratulations to our award winners this week.

Here's a little something about Angela from Sew Many Cards.
My name is Angela and I own Sew Many Cards. I have a husband, an almost 10 year old daughter, a two year old son, and a dog/puppy: Hershey. The images of Sew Many Cards came from a dream that my husband had of a group of animals that were "SEWN Together" with patches and stitching, hence the name, which he also came up with. You will find that every image in the Sew Many Cards collection has patches and stitching, even the ones that are not animals. I love to draw and almost every image is either an inspiration from my family or a request from my great customers and design team, so please ask if you need something specific or would like to request something be made.

My card this week is made with the beautiful Thomas Kincade stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms, of which I would like to say a huge Thank you to for their extremely generous donations to the DT. I do have to tell you though I struggled so hard with this card! I love the image and was scared to not do it justice that this took me so long to make. Because there is a large portion of sky I couldn't get the correct ink on both the sky and castle, but after several attempts I finally decided to make the background of the image separate to the forground. However, then I could not get the colors of the image right nor the dp....I really don't work well with matching darker papers, but in the end I figured I would just let it be!!! So there it is. The final result is actually better than what I had hoped for!
Thank you for stopping by and for leaving your much appreciated comments. Please take the time to stop by my DT sisters blogs to check out their wonderful creations.
Hugs,
Charlotte
Beautiful Charlotte! I LOVE that image and can't wait to ink mine up...you did a fabulous job coloring hun! And your corner-swirls with those flowers are the perfect touch...great job on this week's MM sketch! : )
ReplyDeleteI love the image and the inks you chose, even if it was a battle for you-they are perfect. I love your castle and the coloring as well as the DP.
ReplyDeleteI am so honored to be the weekly sponsor at MMSC this week-Thank you!

I think this is so beautiful too!!! It really is, Charlotte. It really does bring to mind a fairy tale. I know what you are saying about struggling..which is why I have not attempted this image yet, but honestly, even when you say you struggle with something, it is never evident in the outcome. Your creations are always magnificent, and I love drooling over every single one of them. You are a true artist, my friend!!

Are you kidding me Charlotte! I think this card is spectacular! You did an amazing job painting this image and then to cut out the foreground is a stroke of genius! Your work is always SO inspiring my dear! :) Hugs, Michelle
ReplyDeleteOh Charlotte! This is stunning! I just love that Kinkade castle ... so enchanting! :) And your dp's and colors are awesome hun!!! The flowers at the corners give it that extra "Punch"! This is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you about the days flying by! LOL! Yep, I thought Christmas was just last week, and now, even Valentines is gone! OMG! LOL! Before we know it, it'll be like in some of the commercials on tv. Where the child is asking the dad for the keys to the car and in his eyes he sees his 6 year old daughter, but then she says, "DAD!" and he snaps out of it, and she's actually like 16 or 17 years old. LOL! Our sons will be grown up before we know it ... but they'll always be our little boys in our eyes. :)
Thank you for sharing your lovely creations Charlotte! It's beautiful as always!!!
hugs,
elise
