For my card this week I used Priscilla's beautiful Christmas door digi, colored it in copics then embossed the background dp with snowflakes, added some stitching and pretty white poinsettia flowers and lots of stickles and silver gems.

DOODLE DRAGON STUDIOS CHALLENGE - MAKE US LAUGH

Happy Sunday everyone!

I hope you have all enjoyed the first part of your weekend, and will make the most of the rest of it. Personally Monday mornings always come around too soon, don't you think? I've been playing double duty this past week as my DH is overseas and I really miss his company. I'm so looking forward to his return and I know my sweet boy will be happy to have his daddy back too. 

This week over at Pike's Playground we are having another challenge and this one is for you to make us laugh- with humor cards or projects. I had this one in mind for a while as the first time I heard this little rhyme it cracked me up laughing. I love the expression of the Halloween kitty and know I'll definately be using this one again. I colored kitty in copics then used some embossed dp that I picked up in the dollar section at Target! I hope you'll hop on over and play along with us this week.

For my card this week I used this adorable image from Stamp and Create. I colored it in shades of gray (except for the hair and skin of course!) and added some gloss on the boots and umbrella, and sparkles too.

I cut the butterfly out of a Martha Stewart punch, then added stickles and pearls.

Here's a closeup of the double ribbon and flower decoration I added for a little softness. The metal sticker is from my stash, ribbon and pearls are from Michael's, dp is from Anna Griffin called "Hannah Collection" for boys.

My card this week is using this gorgeous digi from Priscilla. I just love these ice skates as they remind me of watching the ice skaters during my time in Holland. They also bring back memories of when I broke my arm on New Years Eve when I slipped on a pond while ice skating (well trying to ice skate anyway!!!)

DOODLE DRAGON STUDIOS CHALLENGE - STARS AND STRIPES

 Happy Sunday to you all!

It's time for another Pike's Playground challenge and this time we are asking for stars and stripes to be included in your creation. You can include one or the other or both if you wish. For my card I chose to do a Christmas card using one of Dustin's cute snowmen holding a star. I colored him in copics and stickles then added some stitching, ribbon (to make my stripes) and some decorative corners. Although the photo doesn't show it there is a lot of sparkles on this card, not only on the snowman but also the corner details too. 

I hope you will come and play along with us today and show us your stars and stripes.
As I write todays post I'm reminded that this is a day in history that we need to remember all those innocent people who lost thier lives, and the many service men and women who are still overseas fighting on our behalf. My thoughts and prayers go to all those who were directly affected by this tragedy.
May we never forget!

I was nicknamed “Globug” about 30 years ago and it stuck! Hence, the name of my blog, Globug Ideas. I was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, where I still live with my wonderful husband, Peter. My mom, two awesome kids and three amazing teenaged grandchildren complete my little family. WOW, now that was a lot of stuff to cover! Onto the sketch this week....I chose a Doodle Pantry image to color and had so much fun with these little ants! I colored them with copics then added some stickles on the earth and glossed over the lollipop to make it look wet.

I added a little grass behind my flower, embossed the white dp and added some fancy gems and that's it!
